Religion/Rabbinat
Rabbi Eliahu Bar-Geva has moved to the island together with his wife Bathen Bar-Geva and their children to serve as the new full-time Rabbi, strengthening the community’s religious and cultural life.
Rabbi Bar-Geva most recently served the Jewish community of Alicante and brings with him a wealth of experience, warmth, and dedication. He now hopes to help build a vibrant Jewish life on Mallorca – through regular services, educational programs, and community activities for all generations. He and his family speak Spanish, English and Hebrew.
A key focus will be on nurturing Jewish life through the Palma Synagogue: services held every week, monthly activities and lots of learning opportunities.
The community remains a valuable point of contact in everyday life: kosher food and wine can now be obtained via the synagogue .
